To avoid crashes, always choose the most number of letters. In our case of vibration, you can choose ation. You can be assured it will not crash neither in iphone/ipod or android or windows phone.
The app could have been written to accept more than 4 letters such xxxx but there are many words in the English language whose ending patterns is not that many in the dictionary. For instance, to find endings similar to chimney, you can search ey or ney without the program crashing.
That is the lesson for using the irap apps suite.
